Since 1958, Freeport Welding & Fabricating has served refining, marine, and petrochemical industries with fabrication and maintenance solutions built for safety, reliability, and long-term performance.
Located in Freeport, Texas, our facility sits between the Port of Freeport and the Union Pacific Railroad, with direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway for efficient rail, highway, vessel, and barge logistics.
As Employees of Freeport Welding, we have provided fabrication and maintenance services for the Refining, Marine, and Petro-Chemical industries since 1958. We have over 65 years of experience, and are among the best at what we do, anywhere in the world.

From fit-up and welding through coatings and shipping, our operation includes a dedicated paint booth and a purpose-built shipping and receiving building.

What began as a local operation has grown into a multi-building fabrication campus with decades of continuous investment in people, capability, and infrastructure.
Roy Fowler founded Freeport Welding at 211 East Eighth Street in Freeport, Texas.
The company incorporated as a C corporation.
Ownership transitioned to Roy Yates and Ital "Buster" Muse.
Buster Muse sold his shares to Roy Yates.
The company acquired its current 26.22-acre site at 200 North Navigation Blvd.
Construction was completed on a 51,600 sq ft shop, office space, and garage.
Phase two expansion began with an additional 51,600 sq ft.
Phase three added another 17,200 sq ft as the company marked 50 years in business.
The final expansion phase added 20,000 sq ft, and the company became 30% employee-owned through ESOP participation.
A new shipping and receiving building was started to support growing throughput.
Freeport Welding completed and shipped its largest pressure vessel to date, weighing more than 500 tons.
